When the tap runs dry,

Ah yea, fifty degrees and its February in the northeast. Blessing or a curse ? who knows but we'll take it. But some states with all this warm weather in the winter and no rain , those who fled there for the cheap taxes, I'm talking about the south east areas, are in for a rude awakening. As the population increases, the demand for water increases not only for the people but the power plants that supply them energy, need more water to cool their reactors. It already is affecting a lot of the inland power plants because the level of water is so low in the rivers that feed the cooling pipes is so low they cannot draw enough water to cool there reactors so they have to throttle down the output. So now they have to import power from other states and that means higher electric prices. So i think if these states don't wake up soon they will be having big problems. They could start by using wind turbine fields and solar power. Its becoming more and more apparent that this is the only way we are going to be able to sustain our needs for power in the future and to be able to afford it. Free power with out the need for nuclear cells that will eventually become another problem. So go out and start pushing your townships, your states and the government to get up of their seats and get going on these things so we can all move on with no more problems. We also can start by doing most of it ourselves because most states give big rebates for people who go out and have solar power units installed on their homes. Now is the time to get things going. Peace love and Happiness.
